Adani Group to enter the Super App race

Adani Digital Labs, the Ahmedabad-based conglomerate Adani Group’s newest unit, would be developing a “super app” for over 400 million consumers across all verticals, ET reported. Gautam Adani, Chairman of the Adani Group, recently met 78 workers at the Adani Digital Group’s first internal meeting, where he discussed the development of an app that will serve all Adani consumers. Gautam stated with regards to the super app:

“We must be the Ferrari of the digital world.”

Tl;dr, What’s a Super App?

A super app is a digital platform that allows a user to utilize one app to access several services. One such example is the Paytm app.

Adani Digital Lab is a branch of Adani Enterprises, one of the world’s largest parent incubators. With Consumers rising at a rate of 15% throughout the group companies, its goal is to get every customer on board with the proposed digital platform.

According to the Chairman, the Adani super app should be useful to all types of consumers, including students, grandmothers, retailers, farmers, and food-stall operators.

The Chairman’s nephew, Sagar Adani, and his son, Jeet Adani, are heading the Adani’s digital invasion.
